Whom we are looking for

Job Objective To provide technical leadership and end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale digital transformation projects of Central Government Ministries and departments. The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and interoperable solutions aligned with national standards and Digital India frameworks. The role requires strong engagement with stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal teams to ensure quality delivery of e-Governance solutions. Primary Responsibilities Architecture Design & Technical Oversight • Lead the architecture design of integrated, cloud-native, and scalable e-Governance solutions. • Translate business and functional requirements into secure, interoperable, and reusable solution architectures. • Design microservices-based architectures and API-led integrations, aligned with MeitY guidelines. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory • Work closely with Ministry officials, consulting teams, and technology partners to define solution architecture. • Advise on selection of platforms, technology stacks, and deployment models suitable for public sector digital initiatives. • Provide architectural inputs in preparation of RFPs, RFQs, SRS, BRDs, and other project documentation. Standardization & Compliance •Ensure solutions comply with government standards on data protection, cybersecurity, open APIs, Aadhaar/DigiLocker integration, and cloud adoption. • Promote reuse of digital public goods and open-source components as per India Stack guidelines. • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to MeitY’s standards (e.g., Open APIs, Metadata & Data Standards). Innovation & Emerging Technologies • Evaluate and recommend use of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, IoT, geospatial technologies, and advanced analytics. • Drive adoption of DevSecOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines in solution delivery. Documentation & Capacity Building • Create architecture blueprints, decision matrices, integration workflows, and deployment diagrams. • Provide mentoring and capacity-building support to Ministry teams and junior technical staff.  In addition to above Primary Responsibilities the incumbent may be assigned any other task from time to time as per the evolving requirements.  Skills and Experience: • 10 years of experience in solution architecture, application design, and implementation of large IT systems • Proven experience in public sector or e-Governance project architecture is preferred • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud setups • Hands-on experience with architecture modeling tools and frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, UML) •Proficiency with enterprise integration patterns, RESTful APIs, API gateways, and service mesh • Knowledge of data architecture, security architecture, and DevSecOps principles • Familiarity with India Stack components and digital infrastructure like Aadhaar, DigiLocker, UPI. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams Educational Qualifications: Essential:B.E./B.Tech/MCA or equivalent Desirable: • Post-Graduation: M. Tech/MBA •  Relevant certification in Data Analysis, Agile, Emerging Tech and tools, cloud technologies (e.g.,AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, TOGAF, CSM).
